THE CALENDAR PROJECT

wejetset calendar

One afternoon my wife and I visited the Philebrity offices and came across a really sharp calendar. The numbers were oversized, the layout was beautiful and best of all it was simple. I’d never seen them before and we began searching. We quickly discovered they were designed by Massimo Vignelli in 1966. Widely known as the Stendig Calendar, it’s become an icon of 60’s design.

At the time I wanted to get one for the studio but they were sold out everywhere. If you wanted one you had to pre-order it well in advance. So one evening I told my studio-mate, Jesse, about the calendar. He was like, “I can make that for you.” Jesse is an amazing screen printer and we’ve been meaning to tackle a few light-hearted projects together. This was the perfect opportunity. We decided to make June & July for fun to kick off our series of collaborations. We have a few extras to give away. Email us and we’ll send you one. Click Read More more for additional photos.
