SARAH MOLI NEWTON APPLEBAUM

Written by Joanne Lam: Sarah Moli Newton Applebaum is a San Francisco-based artist whose installations are as vibrant as her name. Using a wide array of colorful materials, geometric shapes and crochet patterns, her work grows into its surroundings like plants in the rainforest, and the gallery is at once transformed into a living space.

Sarah’s sensibility with texture, color and depth is indicative of her tremendous talent as a visual artist. Instead of overwhelming her audience, she invites them into her world of art with an air of playfulness, as if to say, “contemplation is welcome but why not have fun while you’re at it?” Click Read More for additional information and photos.
