And just like that, Sarah Yates becomes one of my favorite photographers. I love her atmospheric shots. They use light perfectly to convey emotion and feeling. In her latest run of flicks, she shoots Ace Hotel’s Sunday Weddings – a poolside dj event featuring music from the likes of Michael Antonia.

As Sarah describes the event, “Ok, so it’s true- I would marry the Ace Hotel if it was possible. Every time I go I love it more. This past week the Ace’s Shortbus Sundays combined forces with the totally awesome Flashdance DJ Michael Antonia for Sunday Weddings and MAGIC was born (in the form of a splendid poolside afternoon of fun, debauchery, schmoozing and boozing).
