Planes, Trains & Autos: Seattle & Nissan's New EV

Seattle is on a run. The progressive city is making moves and we hope the rest of the nation follows. Recently named Fast Company’s 2009 City of the Year, Seattle is working with Nissan to develop EV charging stations throughout the city. While awareness about electric cars is increasing among brands and consumers, what will really make this innovation work is the embrace of a city-wide infrastructure.
As Engadget reports: “Nissan’s EVs are coming, but if people are really going to buy them in droves they’re going to need somewhere other than the rusty outlets in their garages to charge them. So, the company has been working like mad forming partnerships with municipalities around the world, from California to China, to get city-wide charging stations installed.
