Places to See: Design Inspires at Berlin's Free University

Berlin is the place to be. It catches our eye on more than one occasion with it’s daring structures and emerging art scene. Recently we spotted this unique library built by Foster & Partners. The Free University positions itself as the ultimate work & study space. Brimming with inspiration, great lighting and modern tech, the building took approximately 8 years to complete.

As reported by F&P: “Occupying a central role in the intellectual life of Berlin since the end of World War II, the Free University is not only one of the city’s most symbolically important institutions, but one of the leading universities in Germany. Its redevelopment includes the restoration of the campus’ iconic Modernist buildings and the design of a new library for the Faculty of Philology.” Click Read More for additional information and photos.
