Places to See: Paris & Amsterdam's Mood Lighting

What kind of mood are you in? Maybe art can tell you? Interactive LED art installations are popping up all over urban areas. We’ve recently spied two great works. The first one is by French artist, Superbien. Located in Paris, his work creates a happiness-inducing effect that’ll combat the city’s grey winters by exposing your chakras to the hyper-bright light.
The second installation comes from Urban Alliance – a media architecture collective. They created a mood wall running 24 meters in Amsterdam. As reported by the Contemporist, “The Moodwall is situated in a pedestrian tunnel and interacts with people passing by, improving the atmosphere in the tunnel and making people happy and feel less unsafe. The interactive urban wallpaper is built out of about 2500 LEDs behind a ribbed semi-transparent wall. The curves in the wall make it less suitable for grafitti and improve the visibility of the content for the side.” Click Read More for additional photos and information.
