Travel Innovations: Audi's Travolution Helps you Hit Green

We’ve been looking forward to this since Knight Rider. Travolution, Audi’s latest innovation project, will help drivers anticipate red and green lights so they can adjust their speeds and potentially hit green every time. Wired Magazine has a nice piece about the project. As they report, “The project depends on communications modules built into traffic lights. Those modules transmit signals to the Audi Multi Media Interface (MMI) which, in turn, shows the driver whether he or she is able to proceed safely and if so, what speed he or she must maintain in order to make it through before the light turns red. Even better, if there’s no oncoming traffic, your Audi can make the light turn green.” Click Read More for additional information and photos.
