Travel Briefing: Delta's WiFi & Best Buy in Airports

Today Delta announced that their entire domestic fleet will provide in-flight WiFi service by late 2009. Using AirCell’s GoGo Service, rates are said to be between $9.95 and $12.95 depending on the length of the flight. As TechCrunch points out, “In April they announced a merger with Northwest Airlines that would make them the largest domestic carrier in the country and the addition of in-flight Wi-Fi makes them even more enticing for would be travelers.”
In other news, the TSA is considering allowing passengers to keep their shoes on due to the use of new scanning technology. And, Best Buy cleverly pops up in their first Airport via vending machines. Makes sense to us. You never know when you’ll need that extra USB cord or DS game.
