Places to Stay: New York's Jane Hotel

The Maritime Hotel in NYC is one of our favorite places to stay. Owners Sean MacPherson and Eric Goode mastered the art of space efficiency and tasteful design. So when we heard they were working on a new hotel project, we were excited. Their latest, The Jane Hotel adds a new dimension to New York’s overcrowded and often over priced hotel variety.
Jane’s hip economic and space conscious offering is a welcomed resurgence among many experience driven travelers. For those looking for a convenient place to stay, but are not planning to be in their room very often, Jane Hotel is perfect. The 50 sq. ft. rooms will have wi-fi, air conditioning, flat screen TV’s, rates less than $100 a night and tons of historic atmosphere. As the NY Times states, “The red brick building at 113 Jane Street in the West Village, with its lighthouselike corner tower and storied history (it sheltered the surviving crew of the Titanic), is about to get a new life…” Be sure to check it out.
