wejetset films: Nights and Weekends

Everything is overblown when you’re in a long distance relationship. Visits become purposeful attempts to make up for lost time. Over time this can be hard to manage as these visits can expose the fragility of the relationship itself.

Mattie and James are a young couple trying to make their long distance relationship work between New York and Chicago. We see their story from the middle, and the couple is slowly coming to the realization that they shouldn’t be together. Knowing how this story ends does not take away from its effectiveness – it’s an unsettlingly realistic depiction of love and life. Watching Nights And Weekends will break your heart and you will love it.
