City Innovations: Smoking Bench Helps Keep City Clean

When we came back from Tokyo one of the resonating memories was how organized the smoking areas were. They had smoking booths conveniently placed throughout the city. And each area was neatly arranged with benches and places to dispose cigarette butts. When we returned to the states, the butt littered streets illustrated how nice it would be to have some of Tokyo’s urban engineering. That’s why we got excited when we saw the Smoking Bench by designer Fatih Baltas. This well designed street furniture would help any city with its aesthetic appeal.
