But when you go for a casual stroll around around Hongo campus, you realize that it’s more of a charming neighborhood with many old buildings, similar to the traditional Sumida district. Hongo is quite famous for its rich cultural heritage, with many houses that were constructed between the 1890s and the 1930s. So instead of diving into the hipster crowds in Harajuku, for today PingMag explores a very different part of Tokyo.”
