Places to Eat: Redefining Fast Food in Europe

The above pic looks like it was taken in a swanky lounge, but it was actually taken in McDonalds! The fast-food giant is slowly updating its brand throughout Europe. WIth the help of SHH – a london based design firm – McDonalds is stepping up their interiors. As reported by the Contemporist, “In McDonalds new interiors, the typical (and uncomfortable) fixed plastic seating is gone, and instead we’re seeing upholstered banquettes, wood tables, and hanging lamps.” So next time you arrive in a new place and might not have time to explore the food options – check out what McDonalds is doing.
