Travel with Kozyndan to Muriwai

Kozy and Dan are a couple. They’re also very good artists who work hard and travel the world. Some would keep these experiences to themselves, but not these guys. They graciously share them with anyone interested.

We admire their art, which continually inspires us. And there’s more! Their blog and flickr page allow you to enjoy a world they see while traveling to many known and unkown parts. Ironically, as most artists work to have their art curated, there’s something different and more sincere about Kozy and Dan, it appears that these guys work hard to curate their own perfect life, whether it be art, travel or spending time with one another…

Recently the duo travelled to Muriwai Beach – a coastal community located on the west coast of North island, New Zealand. Here’s what they shared:

“We went with our friends, Sophie and Neil and their daughter in their 4×4 and drove up Muriwai beach for many miles. Saw many wrecked cars (from past fools who came out onto the beach in non 4 wheel drive vehicles and got stuck after the tide came back up), dead sharks, kids on dirt bikes and ATVs, and not much else. We finally set up camp in a nice spot for an afternoon of kite fishing! We didn’t catch any fish until the final cast – which yielded 7 fine eating specimens (mostly tasty gernards which we fried up for dinner later that night). A perfect beach day!”
